The problem
Without a contract, a child exists in Kidola but their care rests on nothing: no schedule, no planned hours, no basis for billing. And as soon as real life gets involved (a move to part-time mid-year, different holiday weeks, purely occasional care), the paper planning quickly becomes unreadable.
The result: the team no longer knows which children to expect, and billing ends up disconnected from what was agreed with the family.
How Kidola solves it
In Kidola, everything starts with the contrat (contract): you enter the period and the recurring hours, and it is that contract which automatically generates the child's schedule, week after week. The hourly rate is added to it for reference.
Each special case has its own answer: a contract with an empty schedule for occasional care, a second contract for mid-year changes, an additional schedule that overrides the recurring one for holiday weeks.

Open the contracts
In Menu, open Contrats (contracts) then choose the child concerned among the existing children.

Create the contract
In the Contrats tab, add a contract with the add button, then enter the period: start date and end date.

Enter the recurring hours
Fill in the child's recurring hours: it is this entry that generates their schedule. Every week will automatically pick up these time slots.

Add the hourly rate
Enter the rate per hour, for reference, to complete the contract.
Pitfalls to avoid
- Occasional care: create a contract with an empty schedule, then add the days as you go from the Synthèse Hebdo (weekly summary).
- Mid-year change (part-time, new hours): set an end date on the current contract and create a new contract, rather than editing the existing one.
- Holiday weeks: add a second schedule (an empty schedule for example) that overrides the recurring schedule on those dates.
Frequently asked questions
Why does the child's schedule stay empty after the contract is created?
The schedule is generated by the contract's recurring hours. If you have only entered the period without hours, no time slot appears: add the recurring hours, or go through the Synthèse Hebdo for occasional care.
How do I handle a child whose hours change mid-year?
Close the current contract by setting an end date on it, then create a new contract with the new hours. That way you keep the exact history of what was agreed for each period.
Is the rate entered on the contract used for billing?
It is indicative: it documents what was agreed with the family. For settings under CSA agreement, family billing remains driven by the CSA portal.
